Summary: We arrived at the hotel and ate in the restaurant before heading into Manchester for the afternoon. We arrived back to shower and change, ahead of a restaurant reservation, and begun to feel unwell. We had all the symptoms of food poisoning, and this stopped all evening plans. We approached the reception team, not to complain but to make them aware, and also ask for some extra blankets (we were cold and the heating in the room we were subsequently stuck in didn’t work) but they were so dismissive and uninterested - Infact so busy whispering in each others ears behind the desk, that we felt more of an inconvenience than a paying guest.
